For all my life I have stayed in the extremely small, incredibly remote village (if you can call it a village) of Sandness. There aren't very many people my age there, but I love it all the same! So, as you can imagine, I thought it was about time to get out of Shetland and explore some of the big bad world!
So, that brings me on to Learning School. Having been asked the question about why I joined Learning School, the only real answer I can find is: "Why wouldn't you?!" The opportunity to travel; meet new people; discover different cultures; research a very interesting topic; as well as giving myself a little bit of freedom, it was far too good a chance to turn down! What more could you want from 10 months? It's going to be amazing!
Football is my passion. Whether watching, playing or even just speaking about football, that is what really interests me. I am an avid Manchester United and Celtic fan, as well as getting behind Scotland when they play, even though it brings more sadness than joy more often than not! In my spare time I like to get out and about, doing anything outside is better than sitting indoors (although this is heavily dependent on the Shetland weather!) On the indoors front I love watching films, can't beat a good British gangster movie! Other than that, I enjoy reading autobiographies by people who either inspire or interest me. As well as this I recently took up playing the ukulele, and I'm loving that at the moment!
